Can I still be a foster parent if I am single? Rent a home? Have a criminal record?
Foster parents may be single or married; they may own or rent their home or apartment.
You will need to discuss the details of your criminal record with your state foster care specialist; however, any history of crimes against children will almost certainly disqualify you from foster parenting.
